Mission Majnu Set in the 1970s, an undercover Indian spy takes on a deadly mission to expose a covert nuclear weapons program in the heart of Pakistan. Mission Majnu is an Indian Hindi-language spy thriller film directed by Shantanu Bagchi and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Amar Butala and Garima Mehta.[2][3] Starring Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles, the film is a fictional story of India’s covert operation, taking place before and during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. The film faced multiple delays, first being scheduled for theatrical release on 13 May 2022 and then 10 June the same year before being indefinitely delayed.[7][8] Ultimately, the film’s theatrical release was cancelled, with the film scheduled to be released on 20 January 2023[9] on Netflix.
