Synopsis

Head Bush revolves around Jayaraj, his friends, foes, police officers, and the politicians who changed the course of the political scenario of Bengaluru in the 1970s. The film focuses on the rise and rise of Jayaraj – from a teenager to a rowdy to a mass hero. A critic from The Times of India wrote that “If you are a fan of commercial films, Head Bush has the right ingredients to offer, that if you can mange to sit through the slow first half”.[2] A critic from The Hindu opined that “Despite being a well-written gangster drama that marries a political thriller, poor character writing and execution trouble this Dhananjaya film”.[3] A critic from Bangalore Mirror said that “For a peek into the 1970s, this film is a must-watch”.[4] A critic from Deccan Herald stated that “The makers stay clear of any standpoint. It’s also not right to expect the entire truth in a biopic.
